Mrs. McMenamin has been a teacher at Our Lady of Good Counsel for the past fifteen years. In her current role as the STREAM specialist, Mrs. McMenamin has been busy writing the curriculum for each grade level, in preschool 3 years to 8th grade. The STREAM special is in its second year of commencement at OLGC, integrating an interdisciplinary curriculum of science, technology, religion, engineering, art, and math. Students work through the engineering design process using the 4’c; critical thinking, collaboration, communication, and creativity to complete assignments.
Before being the STREAM specialist, Mrs. McMenamin was the 2nd-grade teacher for 4 years and spent 5 years teaching preschool and kindergarten. She was also the OLGC Director of Marketing and the K-8th grade art teacher for five years.
Along with her current role, Mrs. McMenamin has been a teaching artist at the Michener Art Museum in Doylestown since 2019. Additionally, Mrs. McMenamin has taught art classes since 1996 to adults, youth, and special needs populations at the Bucks County Community College, the Artists of Yardley, the Philadelphia Museum of Art, Moore College of Art and Design, the University of Wisconsin, Donna Lexa Community Art Center, and the Cleveland Museum of Art.
Mrs. McMenamin completed her Pennsylvania STEAM endorsement certification in 2023. She holds a BA in art education from Moore College of Art and Design and has a PA K-12th grade art certification. She also has a BFA in painting from the Cleveland Institute of Art and Design, and certifications as a preschool teacher and grant writer.
Mrs. McMenamin is married and has a daughter who is a senior in high school. Being an animal lover she is also a mom to 5 cat furbabies! Her family loves spending time together traveling, watching movies, creating art, and trying out new restaurants.
