Mary A. Jones is a retired high school Spanish teacher from the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. She holds her B.A. in Corporate Communications with a minor in Spanish from Arcadia University, and her M.A. in Bilingual/Bicultural Studies from LaSalle University. She began her career in 1997 at Archbishop Ryan High School, then shortly thereafter took a full-time position at Father Judge High School, where she remained until 2021. During her tenure at Father Judge, she served as the World Language Department Chair, Interim World Language Curriculum Chair for the Archdiocese, Union Representative, a member of the Academic Council and several other school committees. Additionally, she served on the Middle States planning team and University of Pennsylvania’s Distributed Leadership team. An empty nester, Ms. Jones and her husband enjoy traveling, running their recently opened Jamaican restaurant, and spending time with their adult son and extended family. She also enjoys playing tennis, weekly. Ms. Jones is excited to join the Our Lady of Good Counsel family, and looks forward to sharing her love of languages with her students!
